Radio accomplishes all these we discussed earlier all wirelessly, but the sound isn't recorded to capture the sound coming from the microphone to be played back later. It has to be converted into an analog of the signal and that's why it's called analog recording technology.
Doesn't matter if it's a record, a cassette tape and open reel tape or even a wax cylinder. The sound information is recorded directly. The sound information is recorded directly onto something which can then be used to recreate a copy of the original sound information.
